My deepest condolences to all the friends and family of Gary Morris.

Life is messy. Every action, a ripple in the water, moving in all directions, touching an unknowable number of lives. At best, we care for those closest to us, and build a life around the love of others. It is heartwarming to see that Gary found that life, and that love. A tragic loss to many, I only hope that his family take comfort in the memories and relationships he had a hand in. I sincerely wish that the space he left in the hearts of his family become full again, and the pain of his loss becomes the warmth of fond memories.

I didn't know Gary as a father, but I thank him for the gift of my life. I'm using it well
..., teaching hundreds of students, and hopefully leaving a positive impact in their lives. My sister and brother are also living good lives with wonderful families of their own. It's easy to ignore the past, and pretend certain things didn't happen, but regardless of circumstance, I am grateful to Gary for my life, the life of my brother and sister, and for that reason I'm paying tribute. Thank you.

To my half-siblings, I am so pleased Gary was to you, what he couldn't be for me. I say that with no malice. I am truly glad he was in your life, and got to see happy children and grandchildren. Your pain may embrace you now, but will soon fade into the joy of great memories. Go live a life worth remembering. Lastly, if there truly is a 'clearing at the end of the path', perhaps we will meet again someday.

May you be at peace.
