LEACH, Okla. – William “Bill” Keith Dew, 68 year old resident of Leach, Okla., died Jan. 15, 2016, at his home. Born Feb. 14, 1947, in Tahlequah, Okla., he was the son of Jess Dew and Beatrice (Burkes) Dew. Bill married Marla Longbrake on Jan. 8, 2016, in Leach. He graduated from the University of California Berkley with a Master’s Degree in Environmental Health Management. Bill worked for Indian Health Services for many years, before retiring with the Indian Environmental Protection Agency. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with One Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Bill was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post in Kansas, and Tahlequah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Bea Dew. He is survived by his wife, Marla; one son, William “Rob” Dew of Pryor, Okla.; one daughter, Stacy Dew of Leach, Okla.; six grandchildren, William “Daniel” Dew, Michelle Dew, Taylor Dew, Trenton Dew, Lakota Sauceda, and Logan William Sauceda; and one sister, Sharon Dunlap Peck and husband LC of West Siloam Springs/ Bunch, Okla. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 22, at Leach School Gymnasium, Leach, Okla., with Rev. Jess French officiating. Burial will follow at Bill Batt Cemetery, Rocky Ford, Okla.
