TAHLEQUAH – Terry Lee Croman, 62 of Tahlequah, passed away early Friday morning, Dec. 11, 2015, in Tulsa,. He was born Jan. 13, 1953, in Kansas City, Mo., to Kenneth Ray and Bonita A. (Graham) Croman. He grew up and attended the public schools, graduating from Tahlequah High School with the class of 1971. After high school, Terry continued his education and attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, where he graduated in 1975 with his bachelor’s degree. Terry married his best friend and the love of his life, Elizabeth “Beth” Ainsworth, on Aug. 28, 1976 in Muskogee, Okla. They have shared over 39 years of happy marriage together. His family remembers Terry’s hobbies, including motorcycling, fishing, building model airplanes and cars. He also enjoyed attending air and car shows, but thoroughly enjoyed going to and watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals games. Terry’s professional career included working with Fort Howard Paper Co. and Muskogee Iron Works in Muskogee, and Riley Southwest of Sapulpa. He retired in 2014 from Northeastern State University, where he was the housing facility manager. He was loved by his family and all who knew him. Terry will be greatly missed. Terry is preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents, Lee and Violet Croman and Lewis and Ollie Graham. He is survived by his wife, Beth, of the home; his children, Erin Croman Tuttle and husband Matt of Broken Arrow, Kenneth Croman and fiancée Lacie Scott of Tulsa, and Brian Croman of Tahlequah; his grandson, Cooper, to be born in February 2016; his brothers, Dennis Croman and wife Janie of Irving, Texas, and Tony Croman and wife Judy of Tahlequah; his sister, Sharon Drenner of Clearwater Beach, Fla.; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and other family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A celebration of Terry’s life will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at First Baptist Church, 201 Commercial Road, Tahlequah, with Pastor Buddy Hunt officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Croman, Tony Croman, Kenneth Croman, Brian Croman, Matt Tuttle, Nello Gionta, C.J. Whitmore, Darren Drenner and Mike DePriest. Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home and Crematory, 1830 North York Street, Muskogee, OK.
