Sarah Ann Blossom, the daughter of Jess and Polly (Downing) Williams, was born Nov. 20, 1924, in Cherokee County, Okla. and departed this life to be with her Lord on July 7, 2015, in Tahlequah, Okla. at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 13 days. Sarah loved spending time with her family and friends; whether it was eating breakfast with Pauline, quilting with Margret or going to church with Sandy. She also loved watching Eric play ball and going to the races with Darrell. She also loved going on trips with Evelyn and teaching Moochy and Bobby right from wrong with a switch in hand. But most of all she loved all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all the church children. She was a lifelong member of Johnson Prairie Baptist Church, and the last original chartered member. She served the Lord in many capacities at the church such as Member and Treasurer of the WMU and Deaconess. She enjoyed quilting with church members and the church always honored her with a birthday dinner. Her husband Eli and herself made sure that all of their children were brought up and a part of the church. She also enjoyed gospel singing and just being with her church family. Sarah touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Eli ; stepdaughter Shirley Blossom Wing, grandsons Jimmy Lynn Sounders and Sidney Blossom; sisters Marie Kingfisher, Josephine Rabbit, Sally Osage, Molly Harrington and brothers Robert Williams and Frank Osage. She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Pauline Saunders (Louis), Margaret Wilson (Phil), Evelyn Gritts and companion (Phillip McIntosh), Sandy Houston and companion (Dale Dushane) all of Tahlequah, Kenneth (Sherie) Blossom of Gentry, AR, Bobby (Sheila) Blossom of Welling and Darrell(Laura) Blossom of Tahlequah; 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
