Funeral services for Lois Marie Low of Tahlequah, Oklahoma are 10:00 am,
December 29, 2016, at Green Country Funeral Home. Officiating will be Reverend Loyd Kester. Those serving as pallbearers are Wayne Low, Brian Polak, Christopher Low, Kevin Polak, Ken Polak, and Michael Slape. Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.
Lois Marie Low was born in Lincoln, Arkansas on July 13, 1933, to
Benjamin and Laverna (Marcum) Mensch. She passed away at Northeastern Health System in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on December 25, 2016, at the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 12 days.
Lois married Gene Low on May 27, 1951, and had shared 63 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2015.
Lois and Gene owned and operated Genes Body Shop and Salvage where she took care of the bookkeeping.
Lois enjoyed traveling with her husband Gene across the country. They had also taken several cruises enjoying many different islands.
When home, Lois loved gardening, raising flowers and watching birds.
Lois enjoyed bowling and participated on several leagues for many years at Thunderbird Lanes and held several different officer positions.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Low; her parents; and step father.
She is survived by two children, a son, Wayne Low and wife Cindy of Centerton, Arkansas, and daughter, Lorie Polak and husband Ken of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Brian Polak and wife Tristan, Kevin Polak, and Chris Low; three great grandchildren, Kaleb Polak, Natalie Polak and Austin Polak; her sister, Loretta Mensch; special friend, Billie Davis, and many others who will miss her.
