Linda's Story

Text size

Linda Wise was born in Muskogee to Dudley and Louise Page on February 23, 1947. She spent her earliest life in Tulsa and the family moved to the Tahlequah/Lake Tenkiller area in 1955. She attended Keys elementary and graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1965. She graduated from NSU in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and went on to get her CPA license.

She has worked for Liberty Bank in Tahlequah and Triad Bank in Tulsa. She was a secretary for Manhattan Construction in Muskogee, Bacone College in Muskogee and Phillips Oil in Oklahoma City. Linda loved business and numbers but what she loved most was working with people. She owned several small businesses over the years, her first being Balloons, ETC., a party planning business that specialized in balloon drops. She was a realtor for Prudential Real Estate in the 80s and enjoyed helping families buy and sell their homes.

In 1997, she married her husband Jack Wise. Together they owned and ran Herbs & More, a successful herb and supplement store. The first location was in Pryor, OK and the second location was in Tulsa. They worked closely with Dr. Jerome Block and opened Tulsa Integrated Medicine with him in 2005. Her customers from Herbs & More became her closest friends and family. Her greatest happiness is that her best friend and long-time employee, Donna Evans, agreed to take over the business and care for the customers after she is gone.

Linda went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack, her parents Dudley and Louise Page and her step-son Stephen Narvosa.

She is survived by her son, Jason Timmons of Tahlequah and his children Connor and Ryan, a daughter Lisa Timmons Pinnick of Tahlequah and her children, Dillon Robertson, Shelby Robertson, Tucker Robertson and Abigail Pinnick, and a great-granddaugher Aurora Hood. Her step-children, Indira Mendoza, John Wise, Jack Wise, and Tony Narvosa she still loved as her own, even after Jack's death.

Linda's Memorial Service will be at 10:00 am on July 30, at the Southern Hills Baptist Church (5590 South Lewis Ave) in Tulsa, OK. She will be missed.
