VIAN – Gavin Chase Pryor, 17, of Vian, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015, in Tulsa. He was born March 11, 1998, in Muskogee, the son of Brent Matthew Pryor and Shelley Kaye (Davis) Freeman. He was a Junior at Vian High School and of the Baptist faith. He was a gentle soul that loved basketball, watched NBA, attended Wolverine games with his Papa Davis, and riding four wheelers. He was a loving son and brother. Survivors are: mother, Shelley Pryor Freeman of the home; stepfather, Brian Freeman of Wagoner; father, Brent Pryor of Muskogee; two brothers, twin brother, Logan Grant Pryor of the home, and Dylan Pryor of the home; five sisters: Jaci Brooke, Britney Emmalane and Kiley Gabriella Freeman all of the home, Cloie Pryor of Fort Gibson, and Alyssa Pryor of Muskogee; grandparents, Charles Steve Davis of Vian, and Waukita Pryor Berryhill and husband Ed of Vian; great-grandmother, Jackie Kirk of Braggs; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Faye Kirk Davis; grandfather, Antwine Pryor; and great-grandparents, Cecil and Nanny Davis and Calvert Kirk. Pallbearers will be: Steve Davis, Seth Sloan, Sylas Sloan, Josh Bolin, Brandon Buttrey and Denver Coffee. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Drake Davis, Chuck Craighead, Dylan Pryor, Logan Pryor, Brandon Cochran and Carol Armstrong. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 16, at 10 a.m. at the Vian High School Gymnasium in Vian, with Rev. Dale Ritter and Pastor Bob Whiteley officiating. Burial will be at Box Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Viewing will be Wednesday from 5–8 p.m. at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
