Floyd's Story

TAHLEQUAH – Funeral services for Floyd Ray Dallis will be held at Green Country Funeral Home in Tahlequah at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 17. Officiating will be Pastor John Overton of New Hope Assembly of God in Muskogee. Pallbearers are Richard Smith, Richard Randill, Robin Aguirre, Gary Dallis, James Dallis, Billy Dallis. Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Floyd Ray (Bug) Dallis was born July 21, 1936, the son of Thomas and Harbert Hayes Dallis. He passed away June 14, 2015, at the age of 78. He is proceeded in death by his parents; and three brothers Lloyd, Norman Dean and Thomas Eugene. He married Irene Fay Stroup on July 6, 1957. He worked as a foreman for the Ozark Nurseries for 19 years and as foreman at Muskogee Parks Department for 19 1/2 years. He loved to garden and anything else outside. He enjoyed helping cook Sunday dinners and spending time with his family. He raised and sold limousine cattle and also enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Tahlequah Sale Barn. Floyd is survived by his wife Irene of 58 years; sons, Ricky, Ronnie and wife Teri, and Randy and wife Karen; two brothers, Johnny and wife Mary, Leroy and wife Gail; two sisters, Annie Watson and husband JT, and Elva Mitchell and husband Jimmy; 7 grandchildren, Miranda, Pam Thomas and husband Kenny, Jeremy, Crystal, Jason and wife Blair, Jonathan, and Samantha; and also many friends.
