Donald Dee Osman Sr. was born on September 7th, 1933 to Burdetta May Daily and Clifford Washington Osman of Neosho Rapids, KS - one of 17 children that would be born unto the homesteaders. The family eventually moved to Rudy, AR where Don would graduate High School before leaving to enlist in the US Air Force.
Don would go on from the Air Force after serving during the Korean War to work as a delivery driver for Pepsi-Cola, but one of his real passions in life was fixing things, which he realized after spending so much time repairing the one family farm tractor his dad never seemed compelled to replace. Air planes, heavy equipment, or rowdy kids - Don could fix it all. After finally settling in Tahlequah, OK and starting a family with Clara Belle Pollard he soon had his work cut out for him. They would have six children, including Berdetta Marie Osman, Fonda Manes, and Danny Osman who sadly precede him in death, and he is survived by four others - Dee Ann Osman of Tahlequah, Don Osman, Jr. and his wife Donna of Vinita, Dana Lou Jackson of Clarksville, TN, and Chandra and John Hudson of Stillwell.
Years later while still owning and operating Osman Equipment Repair he would meet another great love of his life, Maggie Berry, and they would take in Don's eldest grandson, Johnny Don Martin, to raise through JH & HS and care for countless other grandchildren and great-grandchildren for many happy years.
Don was a great supporter of his community as well as his family, contributing for many years to the Tahlequah HS Band Boosters and various other teams and organizations that kept the grandkids busy.
Mr. Osman passed from this earth on April 14th, 2017 because he "by God felt like it."
