Funeral services for William Charles Duvall, 82, of Welling, are 2:00 pm, October 10, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Tahlequah. Officiating will be Pastor Nate King. Interment will follow in the Holland Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com.

Charles Duvall was born on July 31, 1935, in the Lost City community to Fredrick C. and Mabel (Stacy) Duvall. He passed away on October 10, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He was a 1953 graduate of Hulbert High School. In August of 1953, he married JohnAnn Holland.

He had pastored for over fifty years beginning at Caney Church in Tailholt, pastoring in Wright City, Barber and Welling, and had served as a Hospital Chaplain. He also worked for the Welfare Department in Stilwell and the Employment Service in McCurtain County.

Charles loved animals, taking in stray cats and dogs and caring for them. He loved serving the Lord and ministering to people.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dennie Ashby and Wanda Duvall; and infant son David Duvall.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years JohnAnn of the home; two children, Deborah Coley of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Mark Duvall and wife Sandra of Dennison, Texas; three grandchildren, Sarah Wyssmann of Edmond, Oklahoma, Adam Coley and wife Jennifer of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Brandon Duvall and wife Christy of Dennison, Texas; six great grandchildren, Rachel, Alex, Nick, Zachary, Harper, and Connor; sisters, Beverly Randolph and husband Bernie and Phyllis Lay and husband Jerry; brothers, Carl Duvall and David Duvall; as well as extended family members; and countless friends and loved ones.
