Wesley Leon DeMoss Funeral services for Wesley Leon DeMoss 76 of Prk Hill, Oklahoma were held February 26, 2019, at Green Country Funeral Home with Reverend Floyd Saffell officiating. Pallbearers were Carl Shankle, Lee Sumpter, Clyde Spencer, Justin Kennedy, Brent Kennedy, Gus Baber, and Creighton Ellis. He was laid to rest in the Park Hill Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.

Wesley Leon DeMoss was born in Hulbert, Oklahoma on August 4, 1942, to William and Alice Ann (Applegate) DeMoss.
He passed from this life on February 24, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years 6 months and 20 days. Wesley was laid to rest February 26, 2019 at Park Hill Cemetery.

Wesley graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1962. He graduated Northeastern State College in Tahlequah , Oklahoma December of 1969 with a Masters Degree in Education.

In January of 1970, Wesley started his teaching career of over 34 years and taught in four different states. He retired from Oklahoma and Kansas.

He meet May York at church in 1961 and were married in 1964 in Tahlequah and shared 54 years of marriage at the time of his passing.

Wesley loved fishing, hunting, guns, trips to Branson with May, and riding motorcycles when he could. He enjoyed family breakfasts on the weekends. He was a lifetime member of the Pentecostal Church and was very active in the church and was the type of person who never met a stranger.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents William and Alice DeMoss; and brother Billy Ricky DeMoss.

He is survived by his wife loving wife May (York) Demoss of the home; three daughters, Beverly Shankle and husband Carl of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Deanna Spencer and husband Clyde of Tahlequah, and Alicia Sumpter and husband Lee of Wister, Oklahoma; four grandchildrten, Justin Kennedy and Jessica of Tahlequah. Oklahoma, Brent Kennedy and Anna of Whitesboro, Oklahoma, Gina Baber and Gus of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Breanna Sumpter of Wister, Oklahoma; six great grandchildren; Olivia Kennedy, Brooklen Kennedy, Trent Kennedy, Brodey Baber and Paisley Baber; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and loved ones from many places. Wes will be dearly missed by all.
