Funeral services for Stanley Morgan Whittmore, 60, of Tahlequah are 2:00 pm Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Green Country Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bobby Botts. Serving as pallbearers are Colter Whittmore. Carl Whittmore, Cole Whittmore. Eddie Whittmore, Wesley Whittmore, and Robbie Haynes. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Whitewater, Robert Moore, Jay Stinnett, Steve Forrest, Curtis Snell, and Alvin Croslin. Stanley Whittmore was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on December 22, 1955, to Stanley Morgan and Lois (Sanderson) Whittmore. Stan was one of four boys
He attended Sequoyah Grade School and was a 1974 graduate of Tahlequah High School. During his senior year at Tahlequah he was a state runner up in wrestling at 108. Stan attended Connors State College where he was the President of the Connors Rodeo Club in 1975.
Stan loved animals. He enjoyed hunting fishing, riding his horse and going coon hunting.
Stan has been preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Lee Whittmore.
He is survived by his wife, Angie of the home; his parents, Morgan and Lois Whittmore; three children, Wesley Whittmore and wife Katy of Tahlequah, Jayme (Whittmore) Lawrence, and Cole Whittmore; five grandchildren, Thomas Whittmore, Kayton Whittmore, Lynly Whittmore, J.J. Perry and Janessa Perry; two brothers, Carl Whittmore and Eddie Whittmore; as well as many friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
