Ruby Nell's Story
Ruby Nell left her earthly home on Saturday. Born in Carnegie, OK to Charlie & Lizzy Passmore, she spent most of her life in OKC, moving to Cookson, OK in 2010 to be near her son. Ruby Nell's primary objective in life was to serve her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ & to take care of her family. Always active in her church, she worked with the youth, visited shut-ins and supported missions through efforts in WMA. Until her move, she was a faithful member of New Heights Baptist & was recognized in 2003 for serving as a Sunday School teacher for 69 years during the eras of Central Ave. Baptist, Crestwood Baptist & Jefferson Heights Baptist. She was currently a member of Park Hill Baptist, Park Hill, OK. In addition to her parents and stepmother, Gertie Passmore, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Archie Orr, three of her sons, Edmond, Stenson and Charles, and her sister, Marcella Hughes. She leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Norman and MaryAnn Orr of Cookson, 10 grandchildren, and a host of 22 great, 25 great-great, 2 great-great-great grandchildren & many friends who have wonderful memories of a life well lived. She will be greatly missed and is now home with her heavenly father. Visitation will be 4-8pm Tues. at Vondel Smith South Lakes with family present 5-7pm.
