Rosa McClure was born on Jan. 14, 1961, in Tahlequah, Okla., the daughter of Ross Roger and Betsy (Adair) Farmer Sr. She graduated from Hulbert High School and, on June 22, 1984, married her sweetheart, Lonnie Eugene McClure in Miami, Okla. This union was blessed with two sons and one daughter, Joseph Rian, Roger Brian, and Loni Marlene. Rosa worked as a teachers aide in the Hulbert School System. She was always happy and smiling, possessed a great sense of humor and loved to joke. There were no strangers in Rosa’s life. Children were precious to her and every student she worked with was wonderful. She always seemed to know just what to say and do to make their days a little better. Every spare moment in her life was spent with her family – she adored them! Her grandchildren made her smile and she was so very proud of every single accomplishment. She enjoyed crafting, often making signs and costumes for her church. She collected crosses in her home. They were a constant reminder of the relationship she had with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of Swimmer Baptist Church and never missed the chance to share her love of God and witnessed to everyone who would hear her. She was loving and sincere, always looking to make a home for her husband, children, grandchildren and many family members. She was a determined woman who continued her work, even when afflicted with cancer. The Lord called this good and faithful servant to her rest on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at her home in Hulbert, surrounded by those who loved her most. Rosa was 54 years old. She leaves a vacancy that can never be filled. Rosa is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Phyllis Henson, Rosie Farmer (her twin by birth), and Rebecca Farmer; her brother, Joseph; and niece, Leslie Kilpatrick. Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Lonnie of the home in Hulbert. Her children include Joseph McClure of Hulbert, Roger McClure and wife Kayla of Hulbert, and Loni McClure of the home in Hulbert. She leaves three stepchildren, Eddie McClure of Nashville, Tenn., Tony McClure and wife Christy of Woodall, and Corey McClure and wife Alicia also of Santa Clarita, Calif. She leaves a stepmother, Sue Farmer of Park Hill, and four sisters and one brother, Wanda Johnson and husband Ronnie of Hulbert, Tina Farmer of Tahlequah, Susan Ledbetter and husband David of Hulbert, Ross Farmer Jr. and wife Janet of Hulbert, Angela Farmer of Muskogee; and stepbrother, Jeff Thomas and wife Angie of Tulsa. Her two sisters-in-law include Christine Turney of Hulbert, and Shirley Teague and husband Frank of Hulbert. Rosa lives on in her nine grandchildren, Cade McClure of Hulbert, Connor McClure of Tahlequah, Jett McClure of Hulbert, Tyler McClure, Tanner McClure, Mattie McClure and Jordyn McClure, all of Fort Gibson, Callie McClure and Avery McClure, also of Santa Clarita, Calif., as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a wide host of friends, family students and loved ones.
