Rick Maxwell

Rick Maxwell the son of John and Sharon (Russell) Bailey was born July 28, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and departed this life on April 19, 2019 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, 8 months and 22 days.

Rick enjoyed life and he was very good at telling you what you needed to do. If you had three words to describe Rick they would be: Entertaining, because you never knew what he was going to do or say. Everytime you thought he had said the most incredible thing it was, "wait hold my beer." Facilitator: because when he retired from work, he did not retire from supervising, he continued to tell people what to do. Half-Dangerous: he mowed his own shoes and cane while on the mower, enough said. In his later years his hobbies and interests were Facebook and one particular red head. He also enjoyed fishing (which were basically boat rides), his artic cat rides, sight seeing, chuckwagon races, and going to Sam's Club, so he could buy things by the case, and online shopping was always an adventure. Bruno the house dog was very important to Rick, so important that he had his own queen size bed. Rick leaves behind a legacy of family; being together and spending time with not just the immediate family but extended family and friends that were treated like family. One of the most important and happiest days of Rick's life was the day he found out he was going to be a great grandfather. Rick was one of a kind, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandson Skyler Heaton.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife Carol Maxwell; his daughter Stephanie Heaton and husband Mike of Grove; his son Jason Maxwell and Dana Patrick of Terisita; his brothers Sparky Maxwell, Randy Maxwell and wife Mona, Corina Maxwell, Michael Maxwell and Joe (Beaver) Maxwell and wife Arline; his sisters Sherry Maxwell and Heather Nichole Beese; his grandson Blayne Heaton and wife Haley of Saginaw, TX and his great grandson, who is almost here, Tobias Cain Heaton. He is also survived by Carol's brothers and their wives, sister and her husband, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a host of extended friends to include "The Boys" who lovingly referred to him as grandpa.
