Patsy Jeanette Willis, the daughter of Dwight and Addie (Young) Robertson, was born October 15, 1938 in Ventura, California and following a sudden illness she departed this life surrounded by family on August 11, 2017 at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 27 days.
Patsy was raised in the Cookson area where she met the love of her life, Coy Alonzo Willis, and they were married on May 14, 1956. She followed Lon from duty station to duty station while he served in the United States Army. After retirement they settled in the Chicken Creek area and enjoyed over 61 years together as man and wife. Patsy loved her family and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to bake and would bake a chocolate cake everyday for anyone who might stop by, mainly for the great grandkids. She was a great mother and grandmother but her role as a wife was her calling. She loved going on long drives with Lon just to get away with only the two of them. She enjoyed watching T.V. and liked whatever Lon was watching whether it be baseball or gospel singing. She loved wildflowers and enjoyed gardening despite the deer that would eat up everything she grew. Patsy was the rock that the whole family was built on, she will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers John and Gerald; her sister Norma; two infant siblings Dwight Jr. and Thelma, and her great granddaughter Avery Pearish.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband of over 61 years Coy Alonzo Willis of the home; her daughters Annette Gonzales and husband Robert of Castroville, Texas, Linda Derr of Crowley, Texas, and Pamela Birmelin of Chicken Creek, Oklahoma; her adopted son Christopher Willis of California; her sister Pauline Jones and husband Cleatus of Vian, Oklahoma; her grandchildren Allison White, Bradley White, Timothy Shugrue, Tyler Hart, Kayla Derr, Loni Pearish (Tadd), and Jay Birmelin. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren Abigail, Athen, Jinx, Cade, Alyssa, Sylvie, Silas, Madaline, Ace, Finn, and June with a set of twins on the way. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
