Nanita "Dixie"'s Story
Memorial services for Nanita "Dixie" Drywater Wolf, age 79, of Weatherford, Texas will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11 AM at the New Hope Baptist Church in Hulbert, Oklahoma with Reverend Jim Carey officiating and Harry Oosahwe reading the eulogy. Interment will be at the New Hope Cemetery.
Nanita or Dixie as many knew her, was born on May 28, 1938 in Cherokee County Oklahoma to Jess and Lucy Grasshopper Drywater. She attended Shady Grove, Wyandotte and Hulbert schools. On December 15, 1961 she married LeRoy Wolf. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved listening to gospel and traditional country music. Her all-time favorite past time was watching Disney movies with her great granddaughter.
She was of the Baptist faith and grew up attending New Hope Baptist Church. She knew and loved the Lord and had accepted him as her Lord and Savior.
Nanita departed this earth on Monday, August 14, 2017 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Henry, Esiah, Ross, and Archie Drywater; three sisters Ann Gourd, Elizabeth Drywater, and Juanita McLemore.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Leroy Wolf of the home, a daughter Sonya Isley and husband Brian Reed of Weatherford, Texas, a son William Wolf and wife Yvonne Chavez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two grandsons Laramie Isley and wife Tiffany of Weatherford, Texas; Kyle Cummings and wife Amanda of Coweta, Oklahoma; two granddaughters Rheanna San Miguel and husband Omar of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Clarissa Chavez of Albuquerque, New Mexico and two beautiful great granddaughter's Cheyenne Isley and Gabriella San Miguel, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
