Lionel Everett ( L.E. ) Bair, D.D.S.
L.E. Bair passed from this life surrounded by loved ones on July 5, 2016 at the age of 89. He was born in Kellyville, Oklahoma on September 26, 1926, to Jesse Augustus and Neva Fontella (Payne) Bair.
A product of the Great Depression and a WWII Navy veteran, he was a member of the Greatest Generation. L.E. attended Northeastern State University, serving as captain of the baseball and basketball teams. In 1947, he and Mary Josephine Bair were married in Muskogee, Oklahoma. L.E. graduated from Washington University School of Dentistry in 1951, and he and Jo started their business and family later that year in Stillwater, Oklahoma. L.E. was very proud to serve the city, and was involved in many civic organizations and activities. He loved his dental practice and the patients he cared for.
L.E.'s memory is cherished by his wife of 68 years, Jo Bair, his children Lionel Everett ( Lon ) Bair II and his wife Debbie, Robert Clark ( Bob ) Bair and wife Becky, and Janet Leslie Plaxico. He was proud of grandchildren, Kristen Roberson, Michael Bair, Justin, Brian and Brent Plaxico, Alison Coatney and Wade Bair, also his 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Bair, and son Bradley Allen Bair.
Final arrangements have been placed under the care of Green Country Funeral Home in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be at 11 AM Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Park Hill Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1 PM at the Tenkiller Lodge.
