TAHLEQUAH – Leon D. Lawson went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015. He was born in Tahlequah, Okla., on Feb. 6, 1922, to Era and Lorantz Lawson. He was a self-employed businessman and a member of the First Baptist Church in Tahlequah. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by two sons, Don Lawson of Bella Vista, Ark., and Allen Lawson, of Roland, Okla.; and a daughter, Gail Carlow of Broken Arrow; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mildred Lawson of Muskogee; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Hart Funeral Home chapel in Tahlequah and internment at noon at the National Cemetery in Fort Gibson.
