Memorial services for Laura Mary (Prim) Benson, 102 of Tahlequah, are 10:00 am, Thursday, September 29, 2016, at the Go Ye Village Chapel 1201 W 4th Street. Final arrangements have been placed in the care of Green Country Funeral Home.
Laura Prim-Benson was born August 15, 1914, in Weogufka, Alabama to John and Abbie (Hammond) Prim. She entered into the presence of the Lord September 23, 2016, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Laura and Clark David Benson were married March 8, 1945, in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and enjoyed 62 years together.
Laura earned a degree in Christian Education and led Vacation Bible Schools throughout Alabama. Along with her husband, Laura served as a missionary with the Moravian Church in Honduras for 24 years and on the Morongo Indian Reservation in California. They then served 15 years in California with the American Missionary Fellowship. Laura and Clark retired to Sylacauga, Alabama in 1985, later moving to Go Ye Village in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Clark; their three infant children; her parents; three sisters, Elizabeth, Mala, and Clayette; and two brothers, Earl and Harold.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Go Ye Village or the ministry of your choice in remembrance of Laura.
