Laura Murray-Hofschulte was born on July 17, 1963 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Mary(Simonovski) Murray. Laura was a 1981 graduate of Wagoner High School and continued her education at NSU graduating in 1992. She was a certified Paralegal. Laura loved art, painting, and floating down the Illinois River with family and friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and teaching children about nature, being a hippy at heart. Laura enjoyed attending Twin Oaks Baptist Church when she could. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
Laura is survived by her son Frank Hofschulte of Muskogee and his fiance Marcella Sweet of Wagoner, two brothers, Stan Murray and his wife Cheryl of Pueblo, CO and Jimmie Frank Murray of Wagoner, two sisters, Elizabeth Rae Hamner and her husband mark of Wagoner, and Dorothy Murray and her husband Frank Strada of Overland Park, KS, nieces and nephews, Halie and Daniel Murray, Amy Hamner and her two children Amiya Barnett and Latrell Penney and Emiy Hamner and her two children Johnny and Denver Carlisle.
Services will be held at the Shipman Funeral Chapel in Wagoner at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2016 with Damien Hall officiating. A private scattering will be handled by her family at a later date.
