FORT GIBSON – Graveside services for Joyce Faye Griffin are 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 18, at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Final arrangements have been placed in the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Joyce Faye Griffin was born April 9, 1932, to Harold and Inez (Noonan) Ash. She departed this life on Sept. 13, 2015, at the age of 83. Joyce was born and raised in Danville, Ill. She would later attend and graduate from Phillips University in Enid, earning her Bachelor of Science degree. Due to work opportunities for her first husband, Joyce raised her family in several different cities. Eventually she would retire to Tahlequah with her family. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Clem Griffin; parents, Inez and Harold Ash; son, Mark Landers; and sister, Jean Collier. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Sanders and husband Bob of Catoosa; son, Kirk Landers of Tulsa; granddaughter, Sarah Gooldy and husband Ray of Tulsa; grandson, Jason Landers and Stephanie of Littleton, Colo.; grandson, Todd Sanders and Ariel of Catoosa; great-grandchildren, Jenna Mae Gooldy, of Tulsa, and Braxton Green, of Catoosa; a brother-in-law, Bob Collier, of Denton Texas; and many other dear friends and loved ones.
