TAHLEQUAH – Jo Ann Fanning was born in Tonkawa, Okla., on Feb. 27, 1935. She passed away on Dec. 14, 2015, at the age of 80. Her parents were Joe and Anna (Reynolds) Durnal. She spent her early years in Tulsa, attending Webster High School. She and her husband Jimmie owned a motorcycle shop in Tahlequah for many years and, later, had an antique business. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Chet, Jake, and Pete Durnal; sons, Johnny and Jerry Fanning; and granddaughter, Julie Fanning. She is survived by her husband, Jimmie; brother, Joe Jr.; and sister, Pauline Langley of Inola, Okla.; son, Jim and Jerri Fanning of Oktaha, Okla.; granddaughters, Alicia and Justin Buford, Anna and Wes Stewart, and Jill Fanning; four great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. Funeral Services will be held at Park Hill Baptist Church at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 18. Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.
