Jay Don was born February 19, 1988, in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Henry J. Davis and Karen Lynette Stopp, and transitioned from this life, into the arms of Jesus, December 20, 2016.
Jay Don loved life, regardless of the struggles he faced. He was always planning to the future, for it gave him hope. He was very creative in all that he did, and was exceptional at drawing. He loved to cook and to eat! He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and spending time with loved ones. Jay Don did many odd jobs, a Jack of all trades ranging from landscaping and construction, to just being a helping hand where needed. He never met a stranger, had a smile for all, and had a heart for those he felt were mistreated, hurting, lost, or the black sheep in life, with no one to turn to, whether it be people or animals. He loved animals and desired to have many, but his greatest desire was to have our family reunited and close.
Survivors include his mother, Karen, of the home; brother, Jeremy Davis, of Hulbert; sister, Kristi Alberty-Monroy of Hulbert; and a son, John Henry ONeil Russell of Rosenberg, TX. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jay was preceded in death by uncles, Billy Joe Stopp and Donald Allen Stopp; great uncle, Howard Treasure; and grandmother, Pauline (Pokey) Stopp-Belk, whom he adored immensely.
He will be greatly missed by all those that knew him.
The family will greet visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
