TAHLEQUAH – On Tuesday, May 5, 2015, Janet Kaye Johnson from Tahlequah, entered her heavenly home. She was born on Aug. 20, 1953, to Dean and Evelyn (Glazner) Johnson in Cortez, Colo. She was preceded in death by her father, Dean Albert Johnson; brother-in-law Dale Fultz; and grand-nephew, Christian Dean Johnson. Janet is survived by a son, Joshua Dean Johnson; grandson Connor James Johnson from Owasso; her mother, Evelyn Johnson from Tahlequah; a sister, Sharron Johnson Fultz from St. Joseph, Minn.; and a brother, Del and Karen Johnson from Tahlequah. She enjoyed being with her nieces, Shari Fultz Jones from Lincoln, Neb.; Lori Fultz Van Beek and Marci Fultz from St. Joseph, Minn.; Denise Dawn Johnson from Tahlequah; and nephew, Dustin Dean Johnson from Edmond. Also are grand nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Janet graduated from Shawnee Mission North in Shawnee Mission, Kan., in 1971. She also took some classes at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Janet moved to Tahlequah from Shawnee Mission, Kan., in 1977. She worked at Tahlequah City Hospital in the billing department before doing daycare in her home. Later, she went to work at Medical Equipment Affiliate for about 15 years before taking medical leave. She served in AWANA at the First Evangelical Free Church in Tahlequah, as well as VBS. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, painting and collecting frogs. A memorial service will be held in her honor at the First Evangelical Free Church in Tahlequah at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 8.
