James (Dub) Wilk Cummins, 73, of Tahlequah, died Sunday, August 27, 2017. He was born October 2, 1943 at Scraper, Oklahoma, to Oscar (Benny) and Delcy (Thompson) Cummins.
Dub is survived by his daughter, Kristi Cummins of Tahlequah; a granddaughter, Samantha Cheek of Phoenix City, Alabama; a sister-in-law, Jane Williams of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; six nieces, Brenda Carter and husband Dennis of Tahlequah; Linda Lear of Tahlequah; Joyce Jackson and husband Royce of McAlester; Karen Carter of Tahlequah; Debra Dunlap of Tahlequah; Retha Osburn and husband Donnie of Tahlequah; three nephews, Mark Cummins Sr. and Elizabeth of Noble; Robert Cummins and wife Sally of Tahlequah; Kenny Richardson of Houston, Texas.
Dub was preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Delcy; one brother, Nolan Cummins; one sister, Carolyn Cline-Bolin; one granddaughter, Kalyn Cheek.
Dub served in the United States Army from 10 March 1966 to 24 July 1968 as a Field Artillery Crewman. During his career, he owned a Kerr-McGee service station, drove a propane truck for SunGas/Synergy Propane Company and worked at Locke Supply.
Funeral services will be held at Green Country Funeral Home on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Matt Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Molly Field Cemetery.
