Funeral services for Jackie Dale Lankford, 71, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma are 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Green Country Funeral Home. Officiating will be Reverend Johnny Horn. Pallbearers are Mike Lankford, Bobby Lankford, Kenneth Compelube, Lacy Lockwood, Fred Poteete and Larry Woods. Honorary pallbearers are L.D. Stephens, Jerry Horner, Jim Powell, Larry Dotson, Randy Underwood, Terry Garrett, members of the Tahlequah Fire Department and Local Law Enforcement Agencies. Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday May 30, 2016 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Jackie Dale Lankford was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma on April 14, 1945 to James Theodore and Lucille (Wilson) Lankford. He passed peacefully at his home in Tahlequah on May 25, 2016, with his family at his side.

Known to everyone as Jack, he wore several different work hats during his lifetime. From 1964 to 2002 he was employed with TPWA and went from lineman to Assistant General Manager. Beginning in 1970 he worked at the Tahlequah Fire Department and ended as a Captain in 1994. He began working locally in law enforcement in 1991 through 2014. Most recently from 2003-2016, Jack worked for the Tahlequah Public Schools as Assistant Transportation Director.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ken Lankford, and Vernon Lankford; his sisters, Linda Lankford and Nina Lankford; and a sister in law, Lynn Lankford.

He is survived by his wife Robbie of the home; children, Dayla Martin and Ashley of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Jatina Coburn and Christopher of Beggs, Oklahoma, Robert Casey and Sara of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Sandi Casey and Mark of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; and two siblings, Bob Lankford and Luella, and Louise Kindred and Harry; and numerous extended family members, and dear friends.
Jack will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
