Funeral Services for Gene Walls, 75, of Okay, OK will be 2:00 Tuesday July 25, 2017, in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Rodney Carey. Pall bearers will be Cody Warden, Jimmy Coyle, Michael Walls, Presley Walls, Mac Davis, and Donny Marrs. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Gene was born the son of Horace R. and Leota (Austin) Walls in Stockton, CA on Jan. 5, 1942. He died on July 21, 2017, in Tulsa, OK.
Gene attended Hulbert schools until his family moved to CA. With family in OK and CA he spent time in both state. He served in the National Guard and had worked as a painter. He retired from Whitlock in Fort Gibson where he operated a forklift, worked maintenance, and painted.
He enjoyed fishing and spending a lot of time around Lake Fort Gibson. He enjoyed cruising in his corvette and being Tunas coach. He liked following his son as he participated in wrestling and motorcycle racing, making these times family events.
Preceding him in death are his parents Horace and Leota, and his step mother Edna Mae Walls.
He is survived by children Patti Richmond and husband Keith, and Charles Tuna Walls and wife Mona all of Hulbert; grandchildren Cody Warden and Paige Walls; siblings Jerry Walls and wife Janie of Lawton, OK, Margaret Guterriz of CA, Clinton Walls of Hulbert, Ronnie Leonardini of CA; nieces, nephews, and Aunt Julie Coyle of Sperry, OK; as well as many other relatives, friends and loved ones.
