WINFIELD, Kan. – Ethelrose Pauline Kaufman Patrick, 84, of Winfield, Kan., passed away Thursday morning, June 18, 2015, at her home in Winfield. Born April 25, 1931, in Boynton, she was the daughter of Jack A. and Amy (Hayes) Kaufman. She was raised and received her education in Foraker and Tahlequah. She received a degree as a medical laboratory technician in Texas after raising her children. Ethelrose was united in marriage to Dr. Robert L. Patrick, Colonel USAF on June 25, 1949, in Tahlequah. The couple made their first home in Muskogee. After several military assignments in Muskogee, Missouri, and Texas they returned to live in Tahlequah in 1980. Ethelrose moved to Winfield in 1995 and joined PEO and Mother’s Study Club. She loved art, painting and was an avid reader on many subjects. She loved her family, home, and her dog, Mimi. Her family includes her children, Robert L. Patrick, Jr. and wife Susan of Tahlequah, David L. Patrick and wife Cheryl of Kingwood, Texas, and Rhenda L. Torrence and husband Dan of Winfield. Her grandchildren are: Robert L. Patrick, III and his wife Jennifer and their children Kallie, Bryce, and Trae; Rick Patrick and his wife Joanne and their children Preston and Brayden; Ryan Patrick and his wife Tracey and their children Brookelyn, Blake, and great-great-grandchild Brayleigh; Christina Johnson and her husband Brian and their children, Brayden, Trenton, Ethan, Mason, and Alyssa; Dr. Jonathan Patrick and his wife Ashley; Danielle Patrick; Jennifer Webster and her husband Luke and their children Caitlyn, Madilyn Kaden, Addi, and Caleb; Jacquelyn Zimmerman and her husband Rusty and their children Josephine and Callahan; and Daniel Torrence and his wife Bethany. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Helen Deane Branscum. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, at 3 p.m. at GracePointe Assembly of God Church in Winfield. Interment will be at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson. Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield is in charge of arrangements.
