TAHLEQUAH – Services for Emma Sue Smith are 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, at Green Country Funeral Home. Rev. Rex Hendrickson will officiate the services. Pallbearers are Richard Smith, David Johnson, Bob Copeland, Preston Smith and Henry Walker. Interment will take place in the Blue Springs Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences for the family may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com. Emma Sue Dunning Smith was born Sept. 28, 1929, to John Albert Dunning and Bessie Edith (Loveall) Dunning at Earlsboro. She passed away in Fort Gibson on June 13, 2015, at the age of 85. On March 2, 1974, she married Ted Smith who preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 2003. Emma Sue lived in the community of Peggs from 1946 to 1974. She was a homemaker, and belonged to the Bethel Home Demonstration Club and was of the Methodist faith. Emma is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and stepson, Robert Kent. Emma Sue is survived by a son, Eddy Lee Davis; daughter-in-law, Glenda Davis; granddaughter, Amber La Rae Davis Gilmore and husband Jake; great-granddaughter, Ali Kaye Gilmore; grandson, Jack Kaelin Davis and wife Meghan; daughter, Carolyn Ann Schneck; son-in-law, Richard Schneck; grandson, Kevin Schneck and wife Andrea; stepsons, Teddy Gene Smith, and Tommy Smith; stepdaughter, Mary Lou Cole and husband David; she also leaves behind her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members, friends and loved ones.
