KEYS – Dennis Reeves passed away surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Saint Francis Hospital following a short illness. Dennis was born Jan. 5, 1956, in Central City, Neb., to Robert and Sarah Alnetta Reeves. In 1994, he married Teri Holbach and in 1998, they made their home in Keys, Okla. Dennis joined the Navy in 1974, and later retired as an officer in the United States Public Health Service as a nurse practitioner. At the time of his death, he was employed with Remote Medical Services. As an officer in the USPHS, Dennis worked in different locations in the United States. He worked at Butner Prison as a psychiatric nurse. While working at the Indian hospital in Gallup, N.M., he met Teri. He also worked at the Indian facility in Poplar, Mont., and later worked with immigration in Texas. Dennis retired from W.W. Hastings as an officer in the USPHS in 2005, after 22 years of service. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, mother, and his brother. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Teri; daughter, Jessica, of Tahlequah; daughter, Heather, of Tulsa; grandchildren, Elizabeth and David; sisters, Dorothy Flavell, Beverly Holms (Doug), Linda Cordsen (Bub); Aunt Jeanie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other living relatives, and friends. Dennis’ wishes were to be cremated and his ashes spread in the Colorado Rockies and in the Pacific Ocean. A tribute for Dennis will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, 1-3 p.m., at Town Branch Guest Ranch, 20057 E. Brandon Dr., Tahlequah.
