Darrell W. Lingbeck Darrell left this earth to glory on March 13, 2019. He was born on July 7, 1930 in Spring Valley, Minnesota to William and Doris (Shaw) Lingbeck.
He spent his early years on several farms with his parents. He loved to hunt and fish with his brothers. He spent two years in the Army during the Korean War. He received many medals for his service, Including a purple heart. Upon returning home he went to NEI Technical School to learn TV repair. He worked with Phil Spornitz for 25 years in Rochester, MN. Darrell married Nelda Casterton on June 17, 1956 and they had they had 6 children; Kathleen, Debra, Marvin, Kendall, Aaron and Jeremy.
One brother preceded him in death as well as his parents and 3 sisters.
He leaves to mourn his death his wife of over 62 years, Nelda; his six children, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Three brothers, their wives and many other relatives and friends also survive him.
Darrell never met a stranger. He loved his family with a fervor that surpassed all passion. Darrell didn't speak a lot but when he did WE ALL listened!
