Dale's Story

Graveside services for Dale Eugene Littlefield will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday January 12, 2017, at the New Home Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Officiating will be Reverend Carl Cook. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com.

Dale Littlefield was born on August 20, 1945, to Troy and Nanie Bell (Kiddy) Littlefield, a twin to his sister Gailda. Dale was not the only set of twins, another set of twins were born also to Troy and Nanie.

Dale grew up in Peggs, Oklahoma. He enjoyed playing on Spring Creek and the country hillsides. He attended school at Peggs and then went on the Tahlequah High School. Following high school Dale went on the further his education at NSU.

He was a carpenter by trade and worked in that field all his life. However Dale's true passion in life wad running Littlefield's Creek. He truly enjoyed the people that he met there each summer. Lifelong friendships were made each year and new friends added. Dale worked hard to make sure everyone who came to Littlefield's had a wonderful time.

Dale married Sharon Snyder and started a family. During their marriage their oldest child Angela passed away. Dale focused on his two sons, Eric and Anthony. Whom he loved very much.
Dale also had a daughter from a previous marriage named Toni who now lives in Florida. Dale was blessed with seven grandchildren and one great grandchild and another one on the way. Dale was so proud of them all.

In 1990 Dale met Frances Woods and started a relationship that last over twenty seven years. They enjoyed each others friendship and love over the years. They loved traveling, spending days at the creek, country music, and Branson. Dale and Frances lived at Teresita, Oklahoma until Dale entered the hospital on December 16. He was very ill and fought hard with Frances by his side. However he grew tired and weary and the Lord looked down and said "enough". The Lord took Dale home on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Angela Littlefield.
Dale leaves behind his three children, Anthony Littlefield of Tahlequah, Oklahona, Eric Littlefield of Sapulpa, Oklahonma and Toni Littlefield of Florida; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Robert, Josh, Kaitlyn, Gavin, Gracie and Eli; one great grandchild; four sisters, Pam and Doug Maag, Terri and William Grimes, Kathy and Kim Lay all of Beggs, Oklahoma, and Gailda and John Sanders of Sand Springs; and his brother Kevin and Marla Littlefield of Peggs, Oklahoma; and numerous other friends.
