TAHLEQUAH – Funeral services for Dr. Charles Donald Hathaway are 2 p.m., Friday, May 1, at Green Country Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Rocky Dickinson. Pallbearers are Dale Davis, Keith Davis, Kevin Davis, Robert Christie, Dr. Chris Cole, and Ray Sears. Honorary pallbearer is Jim Young. Dr. Charles Donald Hathaway was born in Tulsa, on May 25, 1948, to Jesse Robert and Marie (Barnhill) Hathaway. He passed from this life at his home in Tahlequah, on April 28, 2015, at the age of 66. Charles was a 1966 graduate of Catoosa High School. He attended Northeastern State University before transferring to Logan Chiropractic College in St. Louis, Mo., where he was a 1980 graduate. On February 14, 1981, he married Judith Young and they made their home in Tahlequah. Charles opened his chiropractic office and practiced for 30 years before retiring in 2010. Charles was a member of the Chiropractic Association of Oklahoma, where he had served as a vice president, president, and had been CAO Chairperson of The Year. He enjoyed muscle cars and playing the guitar, he was as 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of Cornerstone Fellowship in Tahlequah. Charles is preceded in death by his parents; his uncle, Charlie Hathaway and his wife, Marie. He is survived by his wife, Judy Hathaway of the home; two sisters, Dr. Donna S. Hathaway of Catoosa, and Lucy J. Spears and her husband Bob of Tulsa; a niece, Tracy L. Spears of Tulsa; his beloved dog “Tigger”; as well as many other friends and loved ones. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cherokee County Humane Society or Cornerstone Fellowship.
