Events

Burthalenoh "Shorty" Thomas was born January 18th, 1925 in Coryell County, Texas the daughter of James Burke and Cora Burke Oldham. She passed from this life on Sunday, July 21st, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was 94.

Burthalenoh was a praying wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She prayed for her family every day. She was very diligent in her devotion time with her savior and enjoyed reading her bible every day. She taught her family true faith and displayed her faith to everyone around her for her entire life. She was a very devoted pastor's wife to her husband, James. She helped James in the church by teaching Sunday School, leading children's church, conducting VBS, planning the Christmas program, and helping with any other need that may have come up at the church.

Burthalenoh had the gift of hospitality and loved entertaining people in her home especially other pastors and evangelists. She was famous for her Sunday dinners of fried chicken and mayonnaise cake. She also loved to play games with her family and especially enjoyed Chinese Checkers; she always won of course. She always had a beautiful smile and loved to laugh at all the crazy things her husband and children did. She never had a cross word to say about anyone and loved everyone.
